You got questions? I got answers....

Q: What the hey is a caricature???
A: try
this.

Q: Can I pay you with PayPal.com?
A: Yes you can. Use info@cartoons-caricatures.com as my email address at paypal.

Q: What if I don't want to read all this and just want to email you a question?
A: here ya go - email me.

Q: What does it cost?
A: Dig my
PRICES.

Q: Can I get my money back?
A: If you have paid with Paypal.com I will refund your money. If you have paid with a check or money order and it is less than $40 I WILL NOT refund your money, it's too much of a finacial hassle.

Q: Is there anything you won't draw?
A: Yes. I'm not going to draw racist, violent, sexist, or homophobic themes. And I'll use my own judgment as to if I think what you want is acceptable.

Q: What size is the paper you use?
A: I'll use paper that is 80 pound (stiff paper used in business cards) and the size is 11"x14". That should be easy enough to frame.

Q: What kind of pictures should I send?
A: Any good face shot of the person (people) being drawn. Many times a school portrait is good, or a well lit snapshot of a head and shoulders. Here's a question for you: Do you think the photo looks like the person to be drawn? For example Is the lighting such that the blonde girl looks like a brunette in the photo? If you don't think the photo looks like the person, you're not going to think the caricature looks like the person.

Q: So... is THIS a good photo?
A: Answer

Q: Are you a 'mean' caricaturist?
A: I try not to be. The goal of caricature is not to make the person ugly, but to make them into cartoons, to make them look funny - not ugly. Babies, kids, girls and women I tend to make look "cute", guys are the ones that I usually work over to make look goofy, but not ugly.

Q: How long will this take?
A: Give me about three weeks from the time you send it to the time you get the caricature back.

Q: How do I get the caricature?
A: I'll mail the caricature back with your original photos using U.S. priority mail (2-3 day). It will come in a mailing tube with the caricature and the photos.

Q: What materials will you use to draw the caricature?
A: I use a black colored pencil for the detail work and a very fat black lead for the not-so-fine work, neither of which erase, so they don't smear very easily, either. If you want the caricature colored, I'll use an airbrush to color it.

Q: Can I pay you when I get the drawing?
A: I ask for the money when you send me the pictures, please. That way I am guaranteed payment for my work.

Q: So how do I know you won't rip me off and cash my check without doing a drawing?
A: Truthfully, you don't know. But I do not cash your check until after I've finished your drawing and mailed it to you. And if for some reason I feel that I can't do your drawing, I'll send back the photos and the uncashed check to you.
